CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKE

Serves 2-4

We love avocados in our family and try to put them in EVERYTHING. What better way to add smooth, rich flavor to a drink than adding a whole avocado to it? This smoothie is so creamy and thick, we’ve started calling it a milkshake!

INGREDIENTS

• 2 dates, fresh or rehydrated
• 1 (14 oz) can full-fat coconut milk (chilled)
• 1 C ice
• 1 avocado, skin and pit removed
• 1 ripe banana, frozen
• ¼ C cocoa powder

INSTRUCTIONS AND HOW KIDS CAN HELP

1. To rehydrate dates, cover with boiling water for 15 minutes.
2. Combine all ingredients in blender and purée until smooth.
3. Results in a particularly thick, rich, and delicious treat!
