Fire FUN FIG FACTS!

Multiple tiny flowers produce the crunchy little edible seeds that give figs their unique texture. Figs help naturally hold in the moisture in baked goods, helping them stay fresher, and fig purée is often used to replace fat in baked goods. The first commercial product appearance of this amazing fruit was made with the introduction of Fig Newtons in 1891!
