October 22, 2022

Makes 2 cups

Ingredients

4 plantains

Instructions

Choose plantains from the store that are green and just starting to brown. | Slice ends off each plantain with a sharp knife. Use the knife to slice through one side, long ways, from end to end. Using both hands, peel the outer shell off in both directions to remove and discard. | Slice each plantain as thin as possible with a sharp knife. | Transfer slices to a dehydrator (or oven preheated to 135F) and dry for 8-12 hours, or until plantains are no longer soft to the touch. | Store in a glass jar, covered, in the refrigerator. Eat as a snack or appetizer served with Caramelized Onion Bacon Dip. | Enjoy!
