When we were growing up, Brussels sprouts, or as we like to call them, little cabbages, were famous in movies and TV shows for being yucky to kids. Our boys are lucky they give everything a chance though, because these Brussels sprouts are some of our very favorites!
We love these little baby cabbages just as they are. In the oven they get crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They’re great! Make them this way and we dare you not to love them!
INGREDIENTS
• 2 lbs Brussels sprouts
• 3 Tbsp melted lard or coconut oil
• 1 Tbsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
INSTRUCTIONS AND HOW KIDS CAN HELP
1. Chop ends off of sprouts and remove outer and brown leaves.
2. Toss all ingredients together on large baking sheet.
3. Roast for 30-40 minutes at 410 degrees, or until softened and browned.
