Steak Skewers

ВЅ pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced

12 to 16 bamboo skewers, soaked in water

ВЅ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

ВЅ cup carrot juice

ВЅ cup beef broth

ВЅ cup water

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon coconut aminos

2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

ВЅ teaspoon onion powder

Вј teaspoon ground cumin

  1. Preheat the oven to 450В°F.
  2. Thread the meat onto the skewers and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, place the meat skewers on a cookie sheet and bake on the top rack for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  6. Remove the skewers from the oven. Brush the meat with the sauce and serve.

NOTE: It goes without saying, but we're going to say it, anyway: make sure your Worcestershire sauce (and any bottled sauces you purchase) is gluten free.
