Rosemary Nuts
1 pound unsalted nuts of your choice (cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.)
1 tablespoon ghee or coconut oil
2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary
2 teaspoons honey (optional)
1ВЅ teaspoons sea salt
Вј teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Preheat the oven to 375В°F. Place the nuts on a sheet pan and toast for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small skillet, heat the ghee or coconut oil over medium heat. Add the rosemary, honey, salt
and cayenne and cook until the flavors are well incorporated and the ghee has melted, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from the heat. - Pour the nuts in a medium bowl and add the ghee mixture, stirring until the nuts are completely coated.
VARIATIONS: Want your nuts to have more of a kick? Add more cayenne pepper, or try some chipotle powder or ancho chili powder.
