Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Make a double batch of these Spicy Pumpkin Seeds, because this crispy, savory snack will be gobbled up in no time! The mouthwatering mix of spices and flavors will keep you coming back for more. There is a lot of room for variation here as well. A blend of Tabasco, cayenne, cumin, and chili powder is delicious, but go ahead and feel free to mix and match. Try a little paprika, sea salt, or your own chipotle spice creation!

Yields 2 cups

• 2 cups pumpkin seeds
• 1⁄4 cup clarified butter or ghee, melted
• 1⁄2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
• 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
• 1 tablespoon chili powder

1. Preheat the oven to 300°F and place the pumpkin seeds on an ungreased baking sheet.
2. Mix the butter (or ghee) and Tabasco sauce, and pour it over the seeds.
3. Combine all the spices and sprinkle over the freshly coated pumpkin seeds. Toss well until evenly coated.
4. Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until golden and crispy, stirring the seeds halfway through. Store in an airtight container.
