CUCUMBER & MINT DETOX

This is the BEST smoothie ever – fresh, filling and incredibly tasty. If I were you, I’d try this before any of the others.

SERVES 2

¾ cucumber, sliced

2 tablespoons torn fresh mint leaves

juice of 2 oranges (add the flesh if you want a thicker smoothie)

½ ripe avocado, peeled and destoned

4–6 ice cubes

1. Place the cucumber, mint and orange juice in a blender and whiz until smooth. Add the avocado and whiz again, adding a little more juice if the mixture becomes a little thick and your blender struggles.

2. Pour into glasses over ice and serve with a garnish of fresh mint.

Cucumbers are great for detox as they’re diuretics and so help you to avoid water retention and flush toxins out of the body.
