Serves 6-8 humans
3 tablespoons grass-fed butter
4 cups blanched almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
4 tablespoons raw honey
4 tablespoons pure maple syrup, Grade B
3 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup dark chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
Add almond flour, baking soda and sea salt to a large mixing bowl and stir to combine.
Add melted butter, raw honey, maple syrup and vanilla extract and stir until fully combined.
You may want to use a hand mixer, unless you want a full kitchen workout.
Add chocolate chips and stir by hand to combine.
Transfer all dough to a 10 1/4-inch cast iron skillet.
Press the dough so it fits from edge to edge and is neatly packed.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the top starts to brown.
Slice like a pie and serve.
