Prosciutto Pears with Balsamic Reduction

MAKES: 8 slices | PREP TIME: 5 minutes | COOK TIME: 45 minutes


½ cup (120 ml) balsamic vinegar

1 large pear, cored and cut into 8 slices

4 slices prosciutto (2 ounces/55 grams), cut in half lengthwise


  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring the vinegar to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let thicken for 45 minutes.
  2. Once the balsamic vinegar is reduced by half and is thick, wrap a slice of prosciutto around each slice of pear, then drizzle with the balsamic reduction.
