ВЅ pounds beef sirloin, thinly sliced
12 to 16 bamboo skewers, soaked in water
ВЅ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
ВЅ cup carrot juice
ВЅ cup beef broth
ВЅ cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
ВЅ teaspoon onion powder
Вј teaspoon ground cumin
- Preheat the oven to 450В°F.
- Thread the meat onto the skewers and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- While the sauce is simmering, place the meat skewers on a cookie sheet and bake on the top rack for 6 to 8 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
- Remove the skewers from the oven. Brush the meat with the sauce and serve.
NOTE: It goes without saying, but we’re going to say it, anyway: make sure your Worcestershire sauce (and any bottled sauces you purchase) is gluten free.
